Montagne des Francais and Amber Mountain Areas 2024

The photo above is my finger with two of Madagascar’s smallest adult chameleons. The photo credit goes to Aly.

There are more photos below including some that were taken from video that I took with my cellphone at a mass breeding event of frogs. I have never seen so many frogs in one place all gathered at a temporary pond. They were easy pickings for mongoose. Lonny had his good camera there but because of the weather he was having trouble with water getting in the lens and fogging it up. He did get this amazing photo of a mongoose taking advantage of the frog feast. He also gave me some other good ones in the gallery at the bottom. (His photos have his name in the lower right corner.)

Some of the photos where taken while using an ultraviolet light. Shawn was asked by a researcher to take photos using it in night photos or in the dark to see if it highlighted the animals. It did, but not all of them.

I am still hoping to get some additional photos, so come back and visit.
